the devil & the lovers

I cannot do justice to the sheer amount of emotion this artwork elicits in me. I adore tarot symbolism, and to see it featured in a mind-games conversation between Edgeworth and Kristoph about Phoenix is just… all I’m left with is incoherent screaming.

I adore all of this. ALL OF IT. The tarot symbolism (The fool, the devil, the lovers; Miles holding the sword and later pierced by three swords), the other symbolism (Miles’s eyes being blue for the kiss, Miles as a statue, the letters, the flowers, the sunflower, the chains, the red string…). The beautiful, eye-catching colors. The oh-so-careful words exchanged. The translations. Everything fitting together.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

i can’t believe i never saw this comment oh my god your fics have influenced my depiction of wrightworth for like…….ever, basically (there’s the one, single line in long way to fall that alluded to a savior complex and i’ve been chasing that aesthetic ever since)
